"We got off to a later start than planned(blame the whiskey) but eventually met at the Hub, grabbed the gear, and decided on Pollnagossan for the day. It was just the three of us: Bryan, Ray, and Nathaniel.
After the drive up we got changed in the cold and headed down into the doline to find the entrance. Dropped in and straight into the rift crawl. Worked our way through the crawls until we reached the Car Wash, which soaked all three of us whether we liked it or not.
Just after that, Ray rigged the pitch, and we headed down into the chamber below.
From there we continued on through admiring the prettys and Ray insisting that I head on first into thick mud that feels like it wants to eat your wellies.. some nice tight crawls leading us into mud chambers with a small drop down into even stickier mud! Nathaniel eager to check out every sump along the way(a true water baby did i ever see!) we made our way to the end of Mud Chamber and found a ""way up""...
Nathaniel took charge to climb the rift and managed to get himself up into what we reckon is Founders Chamber. Bit sketchy, but he made it up, had a look, and came back down with a satisfactory grin.
With that done, we started making our way out. Nathaniel derigged on the way up. The journey back was the usual sliding, crawling, and cursing, finishing off with another blast through the Car Wash for good measure.
Back at the car we were cold, soaked, and fairly wrecked, so we headed for the Hub and from there home
